Details: Students will be learning the basics about honeybees with a focus on biology and colony structure. They will learn about pollination, how bees make honey, the queen, the foragers, and the drones. They will learn apiary safety and how to decode honeybee communication with humans. Since honeybees are immigrants, they will also learn about our native bees.
After the presentation, students will have an opportunity to explore the hands-on exhibit. Families are welcome to bring lunches to picnic afterward.
No refunds. No exchanges. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Child supervision and transportation are not provided.
