Carlos has been married to his wife, Yanira, for almost 17 years. They have two wonderful children Aleyna and Josiah. He has seen the role homeschooling has taken in the development of his kids and how valuable it has been. He has a BS in human development and an M.Ed education. He loves camping and spending time with his wife and 2 kids. His favorite subject has always been U.S. History and Civics, but his biggest passion is playing music. In addition to his role at Branches, He gives private music lessons and he runs a part-time recording studio that serves as his creative outlet.
Yanira has a desire to serve families as they launch in this homeschooling journey. She has been homeschooling her son and daughter for a little more than six years. She has a passion for Christ and loves being able to bring God's word into her lessons at home as well as at BRANCHES. Her husband and family have been attending The Flipside Church in Rancho Cucamonga for more than seven years. As well as teaching at BRANCHES, Yanira is the co-administrator with Kelly Hart; together, and with the leading of Christ, they run BRANCHES.
Marie Corral recently became engaged in July. She is excited to become a wife to James and a mom to his five year old, Anevay, in October 2020. Marie faithfully attends and serves at Hacienda Christian Fellowship in La Puente. She leads the Next Generation High School ministry and is a part of the Worship Team ministry. She has her Bachelor's Degree from CSULA in Urban Learning and her Lower Elementary Montessori training from North America Montessori Center. She assisted and taught at Oneonta Montessori School for five years working with the toddlers through 6th grade. Marie is eager about this new teaching opportunity at Branches Homeschooling Academy, developing relationships with the parents, and being able to disciple future students.
Nadia and her family attend The Flipside Church and have been homeschooling their three children for the past 8 years. She believes that in the training and teaching of her children, faith and character are first, then academics. “BRANCHES has been the perfect outsource support to our homeschool adventure and I value and appreciate the love, care, and education it offers to my children”. Nadia is an alumni graduate from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is a current member of the Screen Actors Guild, better known as SAG. She is also the creator and founder of the PAK after school Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) student programs and workshops. She loves sharing her passion for the performing arts with students, their families, and the community, and finds the work she does very meaningful and rewarding. Nadia is committed to making sure her students have the best performing arts education and experience possible. She believes that the performing arts can open doors to new and exciting possibilities!
Suzanne Guerin has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 18 years. They have three children, ages 15, 13, and 8 years old, who keep them busy throughout the week playing baseball, soccer, and riding horses. Suzanne and her family have faithfully attended Vantage Point Church in Eastvale and she has served as one of the Preschool-Kindergarten classroom leaders for the last 13 years. Prior to being a stay-at-home mom, Suzanne was a 7th grade Life Science and 8th grade Physical Science Teacher in the Ontario-Montclair school district for six years. She has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona and a Masters in Education. Suzanne has been the Branches high school science teacher the last two years and she is thankful for the freedom to teach what she loves from a biblical perspective.
Kelly is a wife and a mother of three. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 20 years and has been homeschooling her children for 9 years. Her husband and family attend The Flipside Church in Rancho Cucamonga and her passion for Christ and teaching has led her to BRANCHES. Kelly is a credentialed teacher and has taught 3rd-10th grades over the past 20 years with a specialty in language arts at the elementary level. Kelly loves the relationships that come from teaching the students at BHA and she can't wait to see what God is going to do in the lives of her students! As well as teaching, Kelly is the co-administrator with Yanira Aguero; together, and with the leading of Christ, they run BRANCHES.
Candice is a wife and mom to three children. She has been married for 9 years and homeschools her middle school aged son and elementary aged daughters. Integrating the Christian faith into her children’s education has been an exciting endeavor and she looks forward to bringing that to our Branches community. One & All Church has been her home church for 10 years and she has taught Sunday school for the elementary-aged children who attend. She also leads a community group for mothers every Wednesday and is committed to serving her local community, in Rancho Cucamonga, and surrounding areas. Candice cannot wait to build relationships with, teach, and see how God grows her first grade students this year!
Sammie is a wife and mom to one sweet boy. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for six years, and they welcomed their first born in June of 2018. Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom and teacher at Branches, Sammie worked as a third grade teacher in Fullerton School District for three years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCLA and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an Arts Emphasis from Cal State Fullerton. Sammie is passionate about leading a Christ-centered life, and she and her family have faithfully attended Calvary Chapel Chino Hills for over ten years. She is grateful and excited about joining the amazing team of teachers, families, and students at BRANCHES. Sammie cannot wait to build relationships, teach exciting and biblically based lessons, and most of all, see how God grows her PreK/K students this year!
Karen Sidur is married to her high school sweetheart, Terry. They have two boys, Damon, 19 and Dean, 14 and attend Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. She has been homeschooling for 8 years, her oldest now attends Colorado Christian University. Karen attended Cal Baptist University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Although she has not formally taught in the classroom, Karen has taught her kids in all subjects and has taught many co-op classes throughout the years.
Jessica is a wife and mother of 3 boys, ages 17, 16, and 12. She has been homeschooling for 5 years and on staff at Branches for the past 2 years. Jessica's heart for the Lord and her desire to serve has been a blessing to Branches and now she is excited to be teaching our Jr High students.
